During the period, Econet continued upgrades of its core network to increase network performance. The Group spent 26% of its revenue towards capex, largely channelled towards network infrastructure modernisation. In addition to deploying 4G and 5G technologies, Econet introduced SmartBiz, which offers unlimited internet packages at affordable prices. As power shortages persisted on the national grid, the Group continued to invest in green power solutions.
